# How To Book Equipment For My Group?

## Find out how to book equipment for your society, club or JCR to support your events and activity.

### What can I borrow?

**Student groups can borrow the following items free of charge:**

- JBL Bluetooth party speaker with a wireless microphone
- 4ft folding tables for market stalls, bake sales and similar activities
- 3L hot water urns
- Hot drinks box, including mugs and teaspoons

### How to book?

Book your items through Rubric using the [following link](https://lusugroups.hellorubric.com/inventory_store?id=31). Sign in as a \*\*Club Executive\*\* to access the booking form.

This is also available under *'Inventory'* which is listed under the *'administration'* tab on the Rubric Platform.

 

### Collection and returns

Collect and return items at the \*\*Students’ Union Welcome Desk\*\*, Monday to Friday, between \*\*10:00 and 16:00\*\*.

 

### Planning a Bake Sale or to setup in Alex SQ?

If you are planning a bake sale or to setup a stall in Alex SQ please also consider the following: 

- **Food Safety** - If you are preparing or handling food, at least one person must have a level 2 food hygiene certificate that can supervise the activity. The Students' Union can register up to 2 of your exec members onto a level 2 course free of charge. - **Music & Noise -** Student group activity is vibrant, and often loud! :) If you are doing activity in Alex SQ or in external spaces on campus, please be mindful of this. The University advises 12:00pm - 2:00pm during the week for activity in Alex SQ that has music or amplified sound. If you are being too loud, you will probably be told to turn it down!
- **Setting-up Outside the Library?** This is a popular spot for bake sales and student stalls during the week. We don't have any ownership of this area or any external space on campus and cannot book this for you. Please notify the reception at the library if you are planning to setup there, be mindful of noise, and be respectful of other groups that may also be doing similar activity in the area.
